michael yurkew

At the ripe age of 19, Mike entered the tattoo industry and endured a demanding, "old-school" apprenticeship under Dave Yurkew. Tattooing for the past 12 years, Mike has been featured on the local news several times on three different channels for his in-depth knowledge and practice of sterile procedures for both tattooing and piercing.

Mike enjoys tattooing both modern styles as well as traditional Japanese styles. He also enjoys custom pieces and cover-ups. With an eclectic range of clients, Mike supports the ideology that you’re never to old to get a tattoo.

jessica braun

Even as a small child, Jessica's great passion in life has been art. From early on, she was encouraged and influenced by the artistic endeavors of both her mother and father. Unsure of what artistic avenue to travel into adulthood, Jessica earned her liberal arts degree from the University of Minnesota in 2001. Shortly after she was offered an apprenticeship by the late Dave Yurkew, to whom she is deeply appreciative.

Jessica has been licensed in both tatttooing and piercing since 2005. She loves traditional tattooing, realism and wildlife. At this time, Jessica's availability is divided between tattooing and the demands of her two beautiful daughters, but she would love to fit you into her schedule. As Yeats once said, " There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven't met yet."

levi d

Growing up on the outskirts of the punkrock/hardcore communities, tattoos have always been an integral part of Levi's life, starting in his teen years. While attending school in Duluth MN the shift from avid collector to artist began after taking a few art classes and realizing, with hard work and the proper guidance, tattooing as a career was a possibility. After a couple of years of experimentation on family members and friends, Robert Bozworth in Brookings SD took Levi on as an apprentice.

After spending 2 years at BodyIllustrations, Levi re-located to Twin City Tattoo here in Minneapolis to further grow artistically under the guidance of Mike Yurkew and Eric Silverman, where he continues to expand and continually deepen his tattooing knowledge and artistic abilities.
